Skuld (named after the Norse norn who weaves the future) is a web app for tracking everyday debts and IOUs — no accounts, no sign-up, no clutter. It strips away everything that usually gets in the way of logging a casual loan, so you can record who owes you what in seconds and move on.
Most debt-tracking tools make you create accounts, set up groups, and click through endless menus just to jot down a coffee or lunch loan. Skuld takes the opposite approach: open the page, type the details, and you’re done. No overhead, no friction.

The main screen shows everything that matters: how much you’re owed, how much you owe, and who’s involved. Clean numbers, clear labels, no noise.
Three fields. No filler.
Tap who, how much, and what it’s for — three fields, that’s it. A toggle switches between “owes me” and “I owe” so the form reads like plain English: [User] owes me [Amount] for [Item] or I owe [User] [Amount] for [Item]. Each entry saves straight to your browser, so your data stays with you.
One Tap to Settle
When someone pays you back, mark it paid with a single tap. The balances update instantly — no manual math, no refresh needed.
Make It Yours
Switch between light and dark themes, pick your currency from 15 options, and set your name. All preferences save automatically.
How It’s Built
Skuld is a fast, offline-first single-page application built with Svelte and Tailwind CSS. By utilizing IndexedDB for client-side storage, it operates completely independent of a centralized server. Your data never leaves your device — ensuring absolute privacy and instant load times, even when offline.
